Dec. 3rd, 2025 12:50 amToday I am grateful for:
Decent sleep.
Talking with Sister E, and finally managing to not feel like I was "educating" her about a health issue (it just always feels that way lately, and I have to back off). We did talk about her rotator cuff issues, but in a way that was allowing her to speak without me "giving advice", which is easy in this case because I don't have any suggestions in this area.
We also managed not to talk about Sister S and her fairly sad situation. No one can do much to help Sister S, and I get kind of depressed thinking about it.
I did normal chores, let everyone out into their larger pastures for a while, walked around the horse pasture with Roxy for a while, then headed to the barn.
I got fuel first.
I drove carefully as we've had some freezing rain, but the roads really weren't too bad.
River did well over all, had decent energy, but didn't seem quite focused. Like his mind was elsewhere a bit.
He did race a bit in the trot still, but he wasn't bracing too much, just getting a bit too forward.
I briefly saw R's daughter L, and chatted for a few minutes with her.
Then I went upstairs to see the kittens, which is always so much fun. They're really active now, and chase each other around a lot.
Then I came home, and my Sweetie had supper ready, which was perfect timing.
We ate, and watched another episode of "The White Lotus".
Decent sleep.
