Dec. 28th, 2025 01:58 amToday I am grateful for:
Good sleep.
For my Sweetie's help with things. He helped a bit with chores, and hauled more fire wood for tonight, and then blew snow for about an hour.
It was about -22 C today, but felt a little worse with the wind. It's supposed to get VERY COLD later tonight.
I spent some time with the goats in the heated garage, giving each of them a bit of time to stretch their legs and get some mental relief from being in their little pens.
I am very grateful that we can do this for them. The first group of goats we had, I hadn't come up with making pens for them in the garage during the cold spells, so those poor little goats had to be outside in their unheated shed. They did cuddle up in a group together though (our current pair don't do that).
I also gave Wonder and Dandy some together time.
After chores, we came back in and my husband had a hot bath to warm up.
We ate leftovers and watched a reasonably good movie called "Boiling Point". It was remarkable in that it was all one take, which added to the feeling of seeing something authentic as it happened. It's hard to think of it as being a script.
It's sort of "a day in the life" of a chef in a ritzy restaurant, and all the dynamics with the staff and so on. It was interesting.
Then we played three games of cribbage, and my husband won two games, but not by much. I feel like I played well.
