Good sleep.
Nice to wake up to my Sweetie in the house.
We got our warmer weather, which is great! Around -10 C, warmed up to -5 C by night.
I was able to take the goats back outside. I'm sure they were pretty happy about that. They were cooped up for about a week with the cold snap.
I gave Wonder some time with Dandy.
I managed to motivate my Sweetie to get the quarter round installed in the pottery studio. I worry that he's hit that point of us being "almost done", therefore "we're in no rush to finish". I had to just lead him out there and make him do it. He was trying to stall by saying that I needed to paint the quarter round (I didn't need to paint it).
I've noticed that he does that now, whenever he wants to stall on something, he says I have to paint it before he can finish.
Who paints quarter round? If I wanted it to be white, we'd just go buy white quarter round.
After chores and coercion, I headed to get fuel and then to the barn.
Our local gas station was hit on Christmas Eve, and I talked with the owner today about it. He's sick of it. The gas station gets hit a couple of times a year, and there's not much he can do about it. They never seem to make an arrest, and if they do, it doesn't usually result in any kind of sentence.
Then I had to crawl along on a country road that hadn't been plowed yet, and man, it was sketchy. Happy to get back on the plowed highway.
It took forever to get fuel and get to the barn. Then K came into the barn before I got River, and HE wanted to talk for half an hour too (I brought up the robbery, and that kind of thing triggers K, who is a very worried and protective person).
By the time I brought River in, it had already been about an hour and a half since I left home.
Anyhow, we had a good session, and I really enjoyed working at the much nicer temperatures.
I threw his heavy blanket in the car to take home and repair, since he can wear a lighter one for a few days.
Getting home was better for driving, different road.
My Sweetie had supper ready for me (yay!) and we ate and watched "A Haunting in Venice" which was good, but I slept through parts of it because there are long stretches of murmur exposition.
