gottawonderToday I am grateful for:
Good sleep. Waking up to my Sweetie in the house.
I like that he gets Fridays off, though it means longer work days. When you think about it, if he can stand it, the longer days make more sense than working Friday and still having to drive an hour each way.
Though he usually still drives an hour each way to go to the climbing gym.
Anyhow. We put away the Christmas trees and decorations today, so it feels roomier in the living area.
I vacuumed a bit, more laundry.
He headed off to the gym in the afternoon, I did chores, then headed to the barn via the gas station first.
River did well overall, though pulled a bit again today in one direction. This does not seem to be a training issue, but maybe some body tightness.
We did have a good session. I'm very grateful to have River, to be able to work at this barn and take lessons, and for the social contact.
The woman with health issues did come tonight, and R's daughter L also worked with a horse. It's a tad crowded with three people/horses, but it's more fun if L comes to work.
L is 18, and I enjoy the energy of a young person. It brings some balance into my life.
The woman with health issues didn't freeze half to death this time, so that's good.
I worked with Poppy again this week, who is a sweet, porky little creature who pretends to be near death if asked to trot on a lunge line.
Then I came home, returned Dandy to his usual pen after his visit with Wonder today, and my Sweetie pulled into the yard about when I did.
He made supper and we watched the 2012 version of "Total Recall", which was okay but the visuals were just overwhelmingly CGI and just too much of everything, and the story was confusing, and the movie was trying to be too much. It was trying to be a bit of at least three other block busters and lost itself. It was trying to be "The Matrix" and "Bladerunner" and "Jason Bourne" and also the original "Total Recall".
Colin Farrell was JACKED for this one though, and someone worked very hard on his eyebrows.
