Today I am grateful for:

That I managed (with my sweetie's help) to get my shit together and go with him into the city for a few hours. He had to go take some training thing that everyone has to take periodically in his company, about ethics. I got to walk around in a shopping area (box mall) for a couple of hours. I really enjoyed the chance to browse stuff that I enjoy without worrying about boring him. I basically went to Sephora for a while, and Indigo, and that's it. I really enjoyed wandering around Indigo with zero pressure to hurry up. I NEVER get to go to that store alone (or Sephora) because I don't drive in the city.

I didn't eat when I got up, and I literally could not see anywhere I could eat in the box mall. I guess I was in a part that didn't have food? I didn't feel hungry or low-blood sugar-y, so I figured I would just eat when I got home (I did have a low sugar Kashi bar). Before I changed my eating, I couldn't have done that.

I had a bit of quiet time when we got home. My sweetie and the guys were pouring concrete into the wall forms, and I just chilled for a bit, to stay out of the way.

That I could help my husband frantically put in one more form in the gravel that will become the basement floor, to add a pad for a support post. We had to be fast, because this was a last minute change, and we had to use the extra concrete that was dumped on the driveway before it set.

Having a nice supper, and getting cleaned up TWICE today.

Reading "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" for the third time, and really appreciating different aspects of it this time. I'm tittering over how it seems like Blomkvist's big appeal is that he is undemanding and nice. "OH MY GOD, HE'S SO BLAND!". Though, the older I get the more I can appreciate how appealing his simplicity and straightforward nature would be. It's a subtle sexiness as opposed to sexy vampires, rock stars, etc.
