Today I am grateful for:

Sunshine. Beautiful autumn colors, though every day is speeding by so fast I hardly feel like I'm absorbing any of this year since May.

My husband took another day off; the concrete in the basement walls is curing so there's nothing to do until they pour the concrete for the floor.

A good ride on River. My riding friend and I went for a short jaunt down the road. River was okay and didn't do anything bad, but he was kind of wary of everything. Also, his hoofs are soft from a wet summer so he didn't appreciate the gravel road. Other than that, it was a lovely day to go outside with the horses. Then I rode him in the arena, and though his breathing was kind of bad when I started (a holdover from his irritation this summer, that seems to flare up on warm days) it actually improved after a bit of work, and I got a decent workout done with him. He really needs to be worked more now, to improve his fitness.

I also rode another person's gentleman senior horse, and he was so sweet.

My sweetie was able to come with me today.

My sweetie made a nice supper, using our "noodler" to make zucchini noodles.

Just a nice evening together.
