Feb. 26th, 2019 11:42 pmBeing in the right frame of mind to meet today's challenges. I felt rested, and focused, and I was able to stay on task when today became the kind of day where EVERYTHING needed doing at once.
Still being able to be useful to others. When I fed River today, I brought hay cubes for my feeding partner, I kept River in the barn to act as a soothing companion for another friend's horse, who was freaking out, and I picked up poop for several other riders. I also remembered to bring a pottery tool I bought as a surprise gift for someone who said they had lost one of theirs (read: left it in the pottery studio and someone else took it), and the other pottery tool that another potter asked if I could pick up for them when we went to the supply store. It actually helped me deal with the general busy-ness of the day, to make sure to remember to still do nice things for other people. It was like a mental break.
The sunshine. It is a little warmer right now, but the sun really helped to make me feel like their was hope.
The pita place. It's a nice, uncomplicated way to get something to eat that's vegetarian and good for me (though I do get a soda and a little bag of chips). The people that work there know me, and I get the same veggie pita each time, so I don't even have to tell them what I want in my pita.
