Today I am grateful for:

Though it was cool and overcast today, it wasn't actively raining.

A good ride on River, though our lesson was cancelled at the last minute. No one knows why the lessons were cancelled yet; I hope it wasn't anything too awful. River's breathing was good today, and he felt like he had enough energy to work. I think that really, his issue lately hasn't been fitness, but just issues with his breathing. The warm days seem to bother him, and maybe right now there is a lot of dust in the air from harvest. Anyhow, today he put in some good work and I was happy with it. I put a rain sheet on him because it's supposed to rain later, and be quite cold, and he doesn't deal well with that combination.

Good socialising with others at the barn. Most of those who were supposed to have lessons showed up anyhow, as that's what they had planned to do that day.

Coming home and taking the molds off of the little slabs of concrete we had made with extra concrete from the basement walls being poured. These are pretty thick slabs, and will make a good walk way down the road.

A quiet evening, just reading and hanging out with my sweetie.
