gottawonderA friend of ours, and a friend of his that volunteered, came to help my sweetie today. They worked on adjusting a telepost, and putting in a support beam where the addition will go. This is an important step in getting ready to put the floor in on that part.
In general, for the amount of help we've recieved from our friends on this project. I know that it is anticipated that we will return the favor, and for the most part this is all part of trading work with each other that's gone on for a few years now, but the help we've gotten so far is far in excess of my expectations. It means a lot to have this kind of help.
That I managed to cook lunch for everyone today, and it went over well. I'm glad I have all the cookies left over from the Halloween barn show, I had made lots on purpose so my sweetie had treats, and it's good for feeding helpers.

A good phone conversation with my Mom.
For all that we keep having things that have to be fixed as we struggle along with so many things being makeshift and patched together and strung together with duct tape and extension cords, with trying to run a lot of heaters off limited circuits, and on and on, my sweetie keeps trying to make it all work.
