Today I am grateful for:

More nice weather. I'm loving this.

My sweetie dealt with more inspections/assessments today. This just never seems to end. Everything we do seems to require yet another permit, another inspector, more waiting, more money for the county to do one more thing on the house. I'm really grateful that my husband has the patience to keep dealing with these people and to keep churning out the paperwork.

Getting the two mares dewormed without much drama. I didn't have enough to do the ponies, so I'll have to buy a tube for them.

Though I was having a lot of emotions today (I wanted to ride River and we needed groceries, but I also wanted to spend the day with my sweetie), I was able to move on and do stuff and tried to just accept that we can't always do everything.

I did have a good ride on River. He seemed a bit sluggish today, but not bad for bending and staying in collection. There was another of the regular teen girls riding, so that was good.

My sweetie had found a bird's nest, and these days any bird nest or hornet nest is given to the riding barn owner's two kids. The older boy is getting so that he often comes out to the barn on his own, just to talk to whoever is there riding. It must be a different experience for a kid to have so many people coming and going at his home, and to have so many adults to talk to at his age. It must be a bit like having a big, extended family, because there are lots of younger kids, and older people, and twenty year olds, and everyone talks to him and looks out for him.

Meeting a woman in town to buy a nice sweater from her. She advertised on the local buy/sell and was nice enough to meet me at the grocery store. It's a really nice artisan style sweater with a cool pattern on it.

Getting groceries. I am very grateful to find good food to eat, and to have the means to buy it. I'm grateful that I have access to "exotic" food like quinoa and low sugar cereal, and fresh produce and so on that help me maintain my weight and keep my blood sugar stable. A lot of this food would have been strictly in health food stores ten years ago, instead of being in an ordinary grocery store at fairly accessible prices.

Coming home to my sweetie. We watched two more episodes of American Gods, and I am just blown away by how good it is.
