Today I am grateful for:

Paying our mechanic for new tires on my sweetie's car. I am glad to have a good, reliable mechanic that is an independent business owner, because he can be more flexible than one of these chains.

The plumbing/furnace guy stopped in to replace something that the inspector didn't like.

One of my nieces had some kind of seizure a few days ago in her sleep, resulting in her biting her tongue. She's okay though, and she'll be getting scans to see what's going on with her brain. I'm grateful that we are in Canada and her medical costs will be covered, if she were in the U.S. this would break her financially. Or she just wouldn't get the help she needs.

Having a nice bath, dyeing my hair, and putting on a little perfume. Nice to be clean.

My sweetie is home tonight. It's unfortunate that he has to get to the airport from work, fly, then drive home. All told it takes him nearly six hours to go to work, and to come home each time. Since his schedule is four days on, three off, that means he makes this trip twice a week, once to come home, once to go back to work. Since his trip to work happens the night before, it actually eats up most of his day off. Oh well. At least he's working.

I got more of my small watercolor paintings done for my Christmas cards.
