Today I am grateful for:

Nice weather today.

We didn't have to go anywhere.

My sweetie is doing his best to take care of paperwork for the bank, even though they keep coming back with more demands for more paperwork.

A good phone conversation with my Mom.

Beginning work on the bathroom. When we moved this house onto our property, lots of cracks formed in the walls. In the bathroom, because of the routine humidity, the paint started peeling badly. I was scraping off tons of old paint, but also being very cautious because it might be lead paint under there. I used the proper face mask, wore gloves, kept the walls moist with a sprayer to not create dust,carefully picked up all the chips to be disposed of at a hazardous waste site, and then wiped everything down with wet paper towels that will be disposed with the paint chips. Quite an undertaking.

Watched "Crazy Rich Asians" with my sweetie, and though it was good in a predictable way, I actually felt that the wealth was grotesque. It is almost unimaginable that this really is how some people live.

Celeste snuggled with me through the whole movie.
