Today I am grateful for:

The effort my sweetie puts in on the house effort, whether he's working on something material, or on things like the finances/paperwork.

I did talk to Mom today. I can tell by the tone she used that she knows she hurt me the last time we talked. I'm not sure if there's any point in talking about how it made me feel.

Lovely warm temperatures.

Going into the city today. My sweetie may be going into a very long stretch away from home this time, the nature of this job being that once this stage of the work begins, they can't stop until they finish.

We went to an art supply store, had a meal at one of our favorite places, and a book store. No real rush or agenda, just getting out of the house really.

Watching the last three episodes of Game of Thrones. I found these to be more satisfying than the first three episodes from the final series. The last three introduced some tensions (I was really worried about how it was looking like everyone was just going to be one big, happy family as they triumphed over the White Walkers), and it wasn't a big happy ending, more like a fairly satisfying ending that still demonstrated that it's not like people weren't going to have disagreements or conflicts in the future, and not everyone got perfect story book finishes. I was happy with how Arya was going off to explore the world, and especially happy that Brienne got to be a knight, head of the King's Guard. I think it ended about as fittingly as it could have without having a finished book to work from.
