Today I am grateful for:

That more and more it feels close to spring. Longer days, more days above zero, snow is beginning to melt, and so on. We are a LONG way from true spring; about a month, but this time of year the sun feels warmer, and even if there's still snow on the ground, the air seems gentler, and the sky more often blue.

A good lesson with River today. I'm not sure what we learned today, but he got very round in the canter, which is great, and in general he was forward and soft in the bit, which is wonderful. We didn't work him too hard, because he's just too warm right now. It's above zero but he hasn't shed his winter hair.

Coming home and having a nice nap.
