Today I am grateful for:

Going for fuel and chatting with the owner and a guy who used to live on the property next to us a few years ago.  He now lives in the small town closest to us, and he has a girlfriend now (which is nice, he looks more cared for).

I went for a walk at the park down the road.  In the parking lot I chatted with three guys who were likely at least in their 60's who were all out on their bikes for the day, enjoying the fall leaves.  They grew up in this area, and have remained friends their whole lives.  They now go on bike trips together all over the place.  I thought that was pretty cool.

I had a good walk with Roxy.  The leaves are wonderful, though you can tell it won't be long now before the trees are bare.  I let Roxy go off leash for a while, and she promptly rolled in something obnoxiously dead.  I tried washing her in the marsh, but it didn't do much, so I had to take her home in the car, smelling like that.

I did wash her as soon as we got home.

I spent most of the evening being really bored.  I haven't painted for a while, and it becomes this funny thing where it seems hard to start again.  Oh well.  I'll get over it at some point.

What celebrity would you like to have lunch with, and why?

What would you like to do for a one month vacation anywhere, all expenses paid?

If you could go back to school to take a class for a semester, what would you take, and why?

If you could get an honest answer from one person, about something from the past, what would you ask, and from who?

What do you feel is a design aesthetic that appeals to you?

Do you have a favorite perfume, or at least type of scent?

Who do you think could play you in a movie about your life?

What is one thing you experienced that might be interesting or surprising for a person to learn about 100 years from now?

Today I am grateful for:

More sunshine and warmth.  Beautiful stars at night.

I have been having issues with being bored,  mainly because having little structure can mean it is hard to feel motivated to do anything.  So you have to force yourself to do something just for the sake of not vegetating.

I forced myself to go prune dead branches out of the shrubs and roses for a while.  There's more to do, but I got a good start.

I talked a bit with Train Wreck sister.  She saw Mom yesterday in the hospital, and Mom is mainly in a wheel chair right now, though they are trying to get her to stand more.  With her cracked pelvis it hurts a lot, but they want her to try and walk; it would heal faster if she did.

We talked about positive things too, which is good.  I tried not to make the conversation too heavy, since it seems lately my calls with family have all been not much fun.

A neighbor who is living with HER elderly Mom right across the road from us is interested in riding my horses, except none of the ones at home are really broke/able to be ridden.  If she wants, she can come groom them or something.  We'll see.  She can't come to the riding barn right now because of Covid.
